Founded seven years ago, Anchor Charters was born from a lifelong passion for the water. The company’s name has a unique story - its founder, Capt. Christopher Bourque, chose "Anchor Charters" because, without fail, he finds an anchor every time he goes scuba diving. Over the years, he has collected hundreds, each one a reminder of the incredible journeys the deep waters of our planet has to offer.

Like many great adventures, Anchor Charters started small. Capt. Christopher Bourque grew up dreaming of a life on the water, but many didn’t believe it could become a reality. In the early days, he worked two jobs while running a charter or two each month. Little by little, the demand grew, and eventually, he took the leap - leaving both jobs to pursue this passion full-time. The charter has grown organically, building a reputation on unforgettable experiences and word-of-mouth recommendations for exceptional dolphin tours and snorkeling trips.

This year, Anchor Charters welcomed a new crew, and while that chapter is still unfolding, this small company’s commitment to exceptional service and creating memories on the water remains stronger than ever. And, of course, no trip is complete without Bosun, the beloved three-year-old water pup, who brings joy to every charter!

Anchor Charters is excited about the future as it continues to grow at a steady pace, introducing new and thrilling adventures for all ages and group sizes like dolphin tours and snorkeling trips to Panama City’s most beautiful areas. When not leading charters, Capt. Chris works as a boat captain delivering yachts throughout the Caribbean during the off-season. Someday, Anchor Charters aims to expand into overnight sailing and yachting trips to the Keys or the Bahamas - a dream that keeps the team anchored in their love for the sea.
